R35-017 Normandy set for Sherman M4A1 Tanks, 1/35

Normandy set for Sherman M4A1 Tanks (with "L" blade T1 Cutter Device) - ITALERI KIT

In Normandy the main antagonist of American AFV were the German tank guns calibre 75 and 88 mm and thick hedges called "Bocage". The desperate crews tried to strengthen armour-plates of their tanks with sacks full of sand, put on the glacis armor. The problem with hedges was tried to solve in different ways: with simple "Salad Fork" and "Green Dozer" or with the device worked out by sergeant Curtis Cullin of 102 Cavalary Reconnaissance Squadron. This device was called "Rhinoceros gedgerow device" or, shorter, "Cullin device". Depending on a material, engineering troops made these devices in many different configurations.
